Because I Can’t Say No

I have a hard time saying no when it comes to volunteering. Seriously. I even received a post it pad that read “Stop me before I volunteer again” from my daughters then fifth grade teacher. She walked it to my car in the rain.

Now I am always busy I’m a work a holic too and I committed to making cupcakes for my sons Valentines Day bake sale and so tonight I’m up later than usual because I completed the task.

There was this movie I Don’t Know How She Does It and friends said that was me. I mean the epic moment of volunteering was being a high risk pregnancy under the care of a cardiologist and I organized the Astro Camp trip, Cultural Lunch, and Graduation for the 5th graders.

Still I do it because I enjoy doing things for my kids and for a long time it was just me even in a two parent household. Things have changed and we are both very involved but I still over volunteer. I’ve even been asked about next year when the boy is in kinder. They know me at the school and I can’t hide.

So tonight with the help of the boy we made these cupcakes and he had a blast helping. That made it worth it.
